Today I finished "A Life of Arthur W Pink" by Iain Murray. I had hoped to complete Pink's "Sovereignty of God" first, but hadn't the strength of will to do just so, because the book's cover was so alluring.
There were many holes in the puzzle that made up A W's life because he never intentionally wrote about himself, for himself, but would rather only give details by way of explanation of how Providence had been affecting his magazine, "Studies in the Scriptures", and through some of his extremely widespread corrospondence( he wrote upwards of 20,000 letters in his life! ). Other than that, his wife's description of her beloved husband's last days on earth were particularly moving, with his last words being, "the Scriptures explain themselves." You can tell what he was thinking of on his deathbed, can't you? :-)
What a man that, though with his weaknesses which neither he nor myself will deny, made a difference today though very little regarded in his own day. Ah, I love the man. :-)
I'm interested in theology, philosophy, history, life, and wives. If you remain here long enough, you'll probably hear something about each of these things.

About Me

- polemic turtle
- turtle believes his Bible, loves His God, and is being divinely conformed unto the image of God's Son, though if one were to think in terms of Romans 9, turtle would confess that he is a very stubborn and brittle piece of clay. thankfully, the Potter works omnipotently for turtle's good and shows him mercy and grace every day.

Tyler, it is good to have you back online. We're sure you are enjoying your new home and being out of the City of Oakland. Your family was made for wide open spaces. Enjoy!
Love, G-ma & G-pa Gardner
It's nice to see you online again! I've heard some about A.W. Pink, but I've never actually read any of his stuff. I hope you enjoy! Have a nice day!
