Well, as you may have guessed and/or wondered, I'm back from Atlanta and have been so for almost a week now. It was a fun trip, my friends; I drove all the way back to Oakland from Atlanta, so my driving skill and perseverance have been proved! Huzzah!
Also, I listened to Spurgeon's Autobiography, the Early Years, but only got through another 6 or 7 hours of it, which were lovely. It told of his early ministry, his desire not to go to college, and his coming to be pastor of the New Park Baptist church, which was the former pulpit of such notables like John Gill, John Rippon, and Benjamin Keach. Also, Mrs. Spurgeon wrote a touching chapter on "Courtship & Marriage", which dealt with his romance he had with his wife, Susie.
Susie.. I like that name! I think I shall name one of my daughters that, I like it so! Susanna!
My packages are out for delivery! So I shall soon, by the grace of God, be receiving the Systematic Thelogies of Herman Bavinck( or at least the three volumes that are translated so far ) & Louis Berkhof, along with a very partial collection of Jonathan Edwards' works, in two volumes. Yesterday, I received that of Charles Hodge, which I have enjoyed reading, so far. Ah, too much, too much!
I'm looking forward to purchasing Turrentin's Institutes of Elenctic Theology and Calvin's Institutes, just to round out my understanding. :-)
Well, cheers! I've got to get off now!
I'm interested in theology, philosophy, history, life, and wives. If you remain here long enough, you'll probably hear something about each of these things.

About Me

- polemic turtle
- turtle believes his Bible, loves His God, and is being divinely conformed unto the image of God's Son, though if one were to think in terms of Romans 9, turtle would confess that he is a very stubborn and brittle piece of clay. thankfully, the Potter works omnipotently for turtle's good and shows him mercy and grace every day.

Ahh... It sounds as though you should name one of your daughters after me, your auntie! My middle name is Suzanne.... I'm sure you like that!
Love Always,
Jamie Suzanne
We were in Georgia during the weekend, too. A rather last-minute trip, though.
Hmmm...interestin'. ;)
