I'm interested in theology, philosophy, history, life, and wives. If you remain here long enough, you'll probably hear something about each of these things.

Some of you may know who George McDonald is, but some of you may not. Click his name if you dasn't know.

My reason for bringing him up is this: ChristianAudio.com is giving away one of his audiobooks for free! I don't know if any of you are familiar with him and his writings, but I know that he greatly interested CS Lewis, a wise, if exceedingly misdirected, man, so if you'd like to try him out, this seems to be an extremely easy way to become aquainted with him for free!

The title of the book is Wise Woman. Below, I will copy and paste the description of the book:

This audiobook is Family Friendly! Children will love it, even as parents are edified. An excellent supplement for the Home Schooler.

A favorite author of C.S. Lewis, George MacDonald delivers another lovely tale in the story The Wise Woman. It is a story of two girls, one is a princess and the other a daughter of a shepherd; both are spoiled and self-serving. Their lives are forever changed when they encounter the Wise Woman, who undertakes to teach them virtue with an astounding balance of grace and truth. Firm and loving, the Wise Woman is everything a good parent could hope to be, and a refreshing portrayal of the Heavenly Parent of us all.

I don't know if I'll live to regret this or not, but I felt like posting this here as I myself am going to listen to this book, so I might as well share this discovery with you so that perhaps you'll understand my possible review that very well may be upcoming.

Aight, a beeve's a beeve.

They would knock down the first beeve they met with. --W. Irving.

About Me

My photo
turtle believes his Bible, loves His God, and is being divinely conformed unto the image of God's Son, though if one were to think in terms of Romans 9, turtle would confess that he is a very stubborn and brittle piece of clay. thankfully, the Potter works omnipotently for turtle's good and shows him mercy and grace every day.
