Of the Fall and Redemption in Christ
Oh, those now before me, please listen to what I have to say. What you will hear makes every difference in the world to you. Life and death, bliss and misery, heaven and hell hang in the balance. You have every reason to stop and hear.
You are a human, created in the image of God. One among millions, you descend from an ancient family thousands of years in age. In the beginning of this family's history, there was only one man and his wife. Adam and Eve were created completely innocent and holy in nature and in deed. They were so privileged as to commune and talk with God Himself. They had no restrictions placed upon their upright natures other than to refrain from eating of a certain tree. How light, this their burden! But in this, they failed. Both of them ate, and in that, plunged their entire race into darkness and despair! Then befell them that of which the Lord had told them: death.
But, there, a light! Though the gloom of the dreadful curse shone the hope of a promised Seed. He would crush the Serpent's head and restore man to communion with God. This Seed has come in the flesh and His name is Jesus. God of very God, He stooped so low as to become a man and experience humiliation as a servant. In life, He was hated by many and in death, even Heaven rejected Him. But on the third day, He arose from the grave, victorious over sin and death! This same Christ then appeared unto many, showing Himself plainly to have conquered every enemy of His people. Before He ascended up to heaven, He established His Church, which He left with the commandment to go and teach all nations what His Great Sacrifice had done. Now, you too may hear the good news of the suffering Savior.
Jesus Christ came to redeem sinners from the slavery of sin. Their putrid sins arose vilely from off of the broken altar of their natures before the eyes of the Holy God. It was impossible for Him to overlook their sin, for His Holiness was infinite and required exact judgment. And so, in absolutely inexpressible love and sacrifice, He sent His only begotten Son to suffer the wrath of God due to sin as a substitute for a sinful people, so that by trusting in Him and His promises, they might have eternal life. Do you believe in Him? You really must, if you will avoid the judgment of God.

The above was a "speech" I was supposed to send in for my school speaking course. In hindsight, I wish I had had more room to speak( I had 3-5 minutes ). Several things are changed a little bit from what I actually sent in, but I would change it even more if I were to use it again. There's simply not enough Scripture saturation and I need to expand the theme of how faith in Christ is belief that He will do as He has promised and that you cannot be saved without His promised substituion. Ah, well, imperfect work from an unprofitable servant; may God bless it to someone's profit for His Name's sake.
