Please be in prayer for the Streval family; Brother Mike died today on account of his liver cancer.
'Tis a solemn thing, the final committal of a beloved soul to the care of the Chief Shepherd for whom he laboured and toiled while here on earth, persuading men to love and trust Him better. Ah, he's never been so happy. :-)
I'm interested in theology, philosophy, history, life, and wives. If you remain here long enough, you'll probably hear something about each of these things.

About Me

- polemic turtle
- turtle believes his Bible, loves His God, and is being divinely conformed unto the image of God's Son, though if one were to think in terms of Romans 9, turtle would confess that he is a very stubborn and brittle piece of clay. thankfully, the Potter works omnipotently for turtle's good and shows him mercy and grace every day.

Liver cancer is a horrible thing with no real treatment available. Tyler, my Mom (your Great Grandmother Edith) died of liver cancer in 1977. I have been without a Mom for about half my life now. Your Mom had just finished 2nd grade when this happened, so they all went without her Grandmotherly love & care, also. Love, Grandma G.
His funeral is today, I believe.
That same night, my Grandmother's brother, my great-uncle, died, also. I'd never met him before.
The loss of a friend or loved one is always a tough and solemn time, not for them but for those who are still here, dealing with the loss of someone so special.
That's half of what our faith is all about -- having a secure home in Heaven waiting for that day when the Lord says "Come on Home!".
The other half is for our lives now, keeping us strong in our Lord's hands until the day He calls us home. We can't make it without Him.
Love and blessings,
Grandpa Russell
I really was sad to hear of Brother Mike's death. My favorite memory of him was the evening when he read the story of Daniel to Katie and I one summer when I came to stay with them along with Julie and James.
