2Co 7:9 Now I rejoice, not that you were grieved, but that you were grieved to repentance. For you were grieved according to God, that you might suffer loss in nothing by us.
2Co 7:10 For the grief according to God works repentance to salvation, not to be regretted. But the grief of the world works death.
2Co 7:11 For behold this same thing, you being grieved according to God, how much it fully worked earnestness in you, but also defense, but also indignation, but also fear, but also desire, but also zeal, but also vengeance! In everything you commended yourselves to be clear in the matter.
Oh, how often my grief is after the worldly sort, not tending to bring any repentance, which is the turning away from the sin which causes your grief, but stupidly seems to dislike my sin just enough to depress me, yet not enough to turn from it, that I be troubled no more. Oh, how I long for Godly repentance! Oh, how I long to long for repentance after a Godly sort! Oh, I shall covet your prayers to God on my behalf, my siblings in the assembly which is Christ's..
I'm interested in theology, philosophy, history, life, and wives. If you remain here long enough, you'll probably hear something about each of these things.

About Me

- polemic turtle
- turtle believes his Bible, loves His God, and is being divinely conformed unto the image of God's Son, though if one were to think in terms of Romans 9, turtle would confess that he is a very stubborn and brittle piece of clay. thankfully, the Potter works omnipotently for turtle's good and shows him mercy and grace every day.
